HORNETS WIN!

1st goal on a great pass from Axel to Bryce, early in the 1st half.

Congrats to our boys for their perseverence!  If you missed the action in Willard last night, you missed a very exciting game.  The Hornets came out on top 6-5, with the first goal scored less than 5 minutes into the 1st half.  Goals scored by Taylor, Axel, and Bryce - as well as awesome teamwork, passing, and the defense holding strong lead to Coach Clifton’s first WIN.  Great work boys!

2006 Hornets Season Underway

Tuesday, August 29th, loss to the Waynesville Tigers, 2-10

The boys gave a strong showing in the first matchup of the season against the Waynesville Tigers. In a season when improvement is the primary goal the first game was a successful one. There are three positive things that came out of the first game: scoring two goals against an opponent who shut us out last year, a team who refused to quit improving the score line from the first half (5-0) to the second half (5-2), and total team effort with the bench providing a spark when needed. The boys should be proud of themselves, it was a good way to start the season.  —Coach Clifton
