The 5th Annual Southwest All-Stars game returns on Monday June 15th. Featuring graduating seniors from the 30 plus programs that play in the Ozarks, there will be two games.
6:00 pm – Boys game
8:00 pm – Girls game
Played at the Cooper Soccer Complex, site of the Missouri State Cup, it’s a game that players speak very fondly of as they get a final chance to play with, and against, long time friends and foes. A chance to go out on a high note certainly!
Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for 13 or younger. Download the flyer
For players and fans, we will be using Twitter before and during the game to send out notices such as possible weather delays or other related items. The Twitter account you want to follow is @SGFsoccer and it will work with any phone that also supports Text messages. Or if you prefer, you may sign up for my phone text message service that I use to report scores with during the season. Sign up here for text-only.

Another first for Hillcrest soccer! Two Hillcrest Hornet soccer players signed Letters of Intent to play soccer at the collegiate level – for the Crowder Roughriders – on Thursday. Ben Ballhorn and Bryce Collier were in the midst of friends and family – as well as their soccer teamates – for a reception held in their honor at Hillcrest. Coach Brad Smith from Crowder College, in Neosho was also in attendance. We wish them much success as they step up to the next level. Well done boys – we are proud of you!

Greetings to everyone and I hope your summer is going well. It’s hard to believe that it is almost half over and the beginning of the new soccer season is around the corner. Here is some events that will help to prepare our boys for the year. The first event is the Hillcrest Soccer Camp which will be the week of July 16 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm each evening. You will be recieving a call from Coach Clifton with additional information. I have attached the Physical Form which will need to be completed before the boys can participate in any practice so it would be great to have these filled out and turned in at the Hillcrest camp but they must be turned in before or by August 6, the first official day of practice. You will also need to pick up the blue card in the office which is the sports participation card.
The next event is the Drury Soccer Camp which I have attached the information and sign up sheet. This takes place July 23-26 for grades 9-12 from 6-8 pm and is a great place to enhance current skills and learn new ones. The cost is $80 and is well worth the instruction that will be given.
Now is not too late for the boys to start running, everyday, alot. And when you think your can’t anymore, run some more and make sure to stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water or sports drinks such as gatorade. Don’t wait until August 6 to start building your endurance, start today!
Another resource that we will try to use consistantly to pass on information is the Hillcrest Soccer website which you can find at; http://www.hillcrestsoccer.net/ The soccer schedule will be available soon so I will be passing that on to you and it will be on the website as well. If you have any questions feel free to email me at; kfreeman@godreamvacations.com or contact me at 880-4873.
GO HORNETS!!!!!!!
