1st goal on a great pass from Axel to Bryce, early in the 1st half.
Congrats to our boys for their perseverence! If you missed the action in Willard last night, you missed a very exciting game. The Hornets came out on top 6-5, with the first goal scored less than 5 minutes into the 1st half. Goals scored by Taylor, Axel, and Bryce - as well as awesome teamwork, passing, and the defense holding strong lead to Coach Clifton’s first WIN. Great work boys!

Excerpt from www.sgfsoccer.com site:

“The Barstow (KC) Knights made their inaugural visit to the Ozarks on Saturday and enjoyed their visit to the tune of 8-1 over the host Hillcrest Hornets. On a beautiful Fall afternoon (first day folks) the Hornets first touch seemed to elude them, putting them on the defensive too often to mount a significant attack. The Knights took advantage of the strong Eastern wind to score three of their first half goals via corner kicks, ultimately getting five via set pieces. The Hornets goal came via hard work and teamwork when Zach Schaaf broke up a Knights attack. Cody Wallace picked up the loose ball and worked a couple of touches with Bryce Collier who then did the hard work of getting by two defenders before sending his shot to the far right side netting. The Hornets head to Ozark on Monday for a game at 4:30pm.” by Ole Olson www.sgfsoccer.com
