Hillcrest Hornets Soccer

Tomorrow Aug 28 there is a practice at 9:00 am – 10:30 am; Coach Gumucio will be handing out uniforms so it is important that all the players be there.

Families are asked to please come to the field at that time to help with a field clean-up/spruce-up morning.  Please bring gloves, rake, shovel and a rock bucket or anything you have as your favorite “yard work” tool.  A pick-up load of mulch will be there to spread under the home team benches shortly after 9. A couple of Dad’s will be bringing their “weed wackers” for trimming under the bleachers, visiting team benches and referee box. If many come..the work should go fast.

One other very important reminder is to please remember your Booster Dues of $25.00.  If you are paying in cash please put in an envelope with your name on it.

First game for the HHS boys team has been change to Tuesday; August 31, 2010 at 4:00 pm at the Hillcrest Soccer Field.

There is a mandatory parent meeting tonight, August 19, 2010 at the Hillcrest High School soccer field. It will start at 5:30 on the bleachers. All parents are encouraged to be there, Assistant Principle Darrel Johnson will be speaking to let us know about school and district policies. Important information about the 2010-11 season will be discussed.

With the onset of another Heat Warning for the area, following the initial early morning session, Monday’s afternoon session was pushed to a 6pm start today. While limited in numbers, the boys came to work and will be better prepared for the onset of the season by working hard now.
